This book gives an extremely informative insight into the world of interviewing for radio. Recounting his own often amusing and daunting experiences the author guides you through the ups and downs of the interviewer whether in the studio or out on location. Clearly and concisely explaining all aspects of the subject from preparation to presentation, recording to editing, vocabulary to pronunciation including what questions to ask and what to do if things go wrong.
If you have ever wondered what you might do if challenged with confronting your local M.P,a famous celebrity, a victim of crime or even all three at once then this is the book for you. 'Interviewing for Radio' steers you through the obstacles of moral dilemmas, technical difficulties and potentially dangerous situations still ensuring that you produce a memorable and worthwhile discussion.
A fascinating read for the general public, jam packed full of helpful tips and advice for students and would be interviewers in any field. I now find I listen to all radio broadcasts with a renewed interest. A thoroughly enjoyable book.
