Baby Massage for BeginnersJune 21, 2003 45 out of 46 found this review helpful
I just love the book! Having a baby just turned my life upside down, especially when he is sick. My baby would be prone to colics and his incessant crying keeps me awake at night. Ever since a friend recommended massaging the baby for colics, I had been on a lookout for a good book to guide me in massaging the baby. This book has done just that. The book is atrractive for beginners, since it contains step-by-step pictures in colours, uses easy language and large fonts. It is also a slim book, making it ideal for travel. It contained massages for most common infant illnesses and more.I seem to enjoy practising them on my baby, and I think he does too! I highly recommend it.
Simple baby massaging routines that can be done everydayFebruary 13, 2001 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
Excellent source of reference for first time parent who is interested in giving their baby a massage on a daily basis. It is a step-by-step guide with pictures of routines that can be performed on the baby top-to-toe. It also guides you through the physical development of the babies from birth till they start walking in an encouraging way and concentrating on their posture. It explains how you would now if your child is ready to sit supported/ unsupported, crawl and walk. It then goes on to illustrates how to help your child progress safely unto the next development stage. Other interesting features cover techniques to help the child to sleep, through coughs, colic, constipation. It will make a great present for new mothers. A very useful book.
