I have 6 hamsters. 2 of them are Syrians and the other 4 are Campbells Russian dwarf hamsters. I wish I owned this book in May 2005 when 2 of my hamsters had unexpected litters. This book is really useful. I only got it today and I can tell that is going to be really handy if I ever have any problems with my hamsters. It helps you find out what breed your hamsters is. It even has information about how to catch you hamster if it escapes! Even if you only have 1 hamster I would advise you to get this book. I love it! It has lots of good information and quite a lot of cute pictures too!

I got this book 2 years ago when my hamster had an unexpected litter. Since then I have found myself referring back to it time and time again. It contains very detailed, but straighforward help on choosing a hamster, and caring for it, the anatomy of the hamster, A-Z of hamster diseases, breeding, and showing them. There are also beautiful photos of hamsters. I have 17 years of hamster experience, and still found this book to contain things I didn't know about hamsters. I would recommend this book to any hamster owner, no matter what experience you have. A truly brilliant book.
