This is a well-paced introduction for the complete beginner in Polish. It's suitable for those with little time who are preparing for a trip to Poland, and as such won't give you fluency, but rather equip you with a basic set of words and phrases to get you by, as the title says! That said, it's also a nice, painless introduction to the language for curious people who want a taster of Polish before moving onto a meatier course such as Routledge's Colloquial Polish, or Teach Yourself Polish. Either way, it's great value for money with a CD and booklet - dobrze!
