Local history done well! Holiday fun and fab pixDecember 23, 2007 For anyone who's ever been to or lived at the seaside, this book will bring back lots of memories and lots of smiles with them. It's a lively history of the 'golden era' of the Manx Boarding houses from the late c.19th, and has lots of nice stories and anecdotes as well as loads of great old photographs.
Unusually for local history it's also got a proper index so that anyone who wants to find out more can go deeper. A definite 'must' for any Manx person and great for anyone who has ever had a holiday in a British B 'n' B !
