5 out of 5 stars Where am I?   May 11, 2008
Nottingham in the 80's was my playground. It was bright and technicolour and amazing. Spending every Friday/Saturday night at Rock City Futurist night, dancing in the lazers and dry ice. Taking most of the afternoon getting ready. During the week drinking downstairs at the Castle, trecking over to the Playhouse bar, going to Whispers, The Ad-lib club, Brownes wine bar. What amazes me about this book is how 'by gone' Nottingham looks. I am afflicted with nostalgia for those great times anyway, but this really sticks the knife in!! Good stuff.

Imagine my suprise at Christmas when my brother opened his present from our elder brother and discovered that he was in a book, then how shocked I was when there was a picture of me,27 years younger! It was great to go back "home" to the 1980's and made me yern to be back there in the best city in the world, and the best times of my life. Thanks lads

I loved this book, I borrowed it from a friend and to my surprise, I was in it.....Yes I was a punk in the 80's with a mohican lots of piercings and a extreme obsession with Bauhaus...I miss those days.
I was also nice to see how Nottingham had changed since then all the shops and buildings that are now gone...

Excellent book...Truly recommend it if you were lucky enough to be growing up in the 80's and went to Rock City then.....
