The Bible for a European surf tripNovember 7, 2008 I have been a massive fan of these books for many years now and got a copy of this addition because the last copy I had got nicked because it is such a good reference guide. The biggest change is that the Atlantic islands have been put into another book of there own (including the UK) which threw me to start with. Just meant I bought the Atlantic islands copy as well. I have got all the places I have surfed in Europe marked in my book and it has almost become a diary of my surfing history.

"I thought that is a bit expensive when I first saw the price but it is worth every penny. It is full colour, glossy pages. It is also very comprehensive. I am planning my entire next surfing trip around the beaches reviewed in this book. It also has useful travel facts. With sections about the local culture and people. It is worth the money just for the photographs."
.... and I wasn't wrong, it has been on every european surfing trip since then

I've owned both the surfing guides to Europe (Stormrider and footprint guide) as well as the Stormrider World guides....The new Stormrider Guide Europe the continent raises the bar again - Stormrider is always the best looking of the surf guides with the most detailed info. The new European guide has new and proper usable maps and great info in a format that is much easier to use than the footprint guides. There's great chapters on the Med coasts, Germany, Denmark, Holland and Belgium which are not covered in my footprint guide. A must buy for anyone taking a surf trip in Europe. If you're heading outside Europe check out their World guides vol 1 and 2.
