Small but almost perfectly formedSeptember 20, 2008 The book is a very slim tome but to be fair it's a budget guide and compact enough to be taken to where you're travelling. There is a lot of info crammed inside about the most popular ports of the Northern coast of France. I fear a little may be out of date now as ferry companies seem to have adjusted their names and destinations of late. So there's no mention of Caen or St Malo. But for a traveller unseasoned in hopping across La Marche, this book is a good buy.

For a trip across the Channel this guide does a better job than any of the major ones. Locations, addresses and phone numbers are clearly displayed and cover all of the best places to go to in Calais, Boulogne and Cherbourg. We only wish we had bought this one before the others.
