Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Fairly good, but beware...   November 30, 2008
I used this book on my latest visit to Rhodes. I have in the past used Sunflower's (now long time out of print) Landscapes of Rhodes guide, and been very happy with that (although slightly outdated even when I used it several years ago...). This one particular book contains somewhat shorter versions of the walks from the older book, but are still good. I cannot say much about their restaurant recommendations as I do not personally know many of the places they recommend. However, when it comes to Rhodes town (which I know very well), I can only say that their recommendations are very different from mine! Especially I have to warn about "Oasis", after eating there I got sick!

4 out of 5 stars Very good for the first-time visitor (like me)   May 26, 2007

A really useful little guide - it's little, so you can take it out on those walks; it's really useful, because it has some very good (though rather short) walks in it, and the directions/route notes are very good indeed. It took us to some valleys we would never have discovered without this book, such as the valley 'behind' Lindos which is really beautiful. The Efta Piges walk was good, but sadly the tracks have become a bit more impinged-upon by walls and fences. The Stegna walk is great - so good we did it twice in a week!
We tried a few of the restaurants in the book as well and again agree with the authors.
Only problem - the interesting-sounding walls-of-old-Rhodos are closed for refurbishment - do visit the website mentioned in the book for updates.
Compliments to the chefs!
