wonderful visualisation for the rhymeDecember 26, 2008 An excellent book for your child to viusalise and understand the rhyme. An even if you grew up on another version with more traditional graphics don't hesitate to get this one for your kid.
Animals with different noises!December 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a lovely, bright and cheery book, although the illustrations are quite crowded. There is also a page full of other farm animals at the back to talk about and make extra noises. My only real gripe is that the dog says 'bow wow' instead of 'woof woof' and the pig says 'grunt grunt' instead of 'oink oink'! If that doesn't bother you, then this is a fun book for a baby from about 4 or 5 months old.
Well...it's ok...September 11, 2007 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this on a whim when purchasing another item for my daughter's birthday and I must admit that it is a pretty wee book which I know she will enjoy, however it is expensive for what it is. My advice is that you can get similar for cheaper from a supermarket if you can get to one or go to a library.
Not the best, but by no means the worst!
A great accompaniement to the nursery rhymeMay 1, 2007 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
This is a lovely illustrated book of the nursery rhyme 'Old Macdonald had a farm'. Each verse of the song is printed on one page and on the opposite pages, cut outs progressively reveal a different animal until there is a whole farmyard of animals. The illustrations are charming and if you want to sing more verses - the back page has lots more animals to sing about! My six month old adores this song and loves to poke her fingers through the holes in this book and turn the pages. As she gets older, there will be lots of other things to enjoy in the book, as the pictures are full of detail. In addition to the great content, the book is well made and sturdy enough to withstand baby-handling!
