A wonderful book that teaches and entertainsMarch 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book has a positive message about the environment as well as the usual bright illustrations. The front cover is dazzling and it also features Betty Moody's first appearance.
One day, Clarice's older brother Kurt causes a commotion by telling his family that the tree in their street is going to be chopped down so they all camp outside in order to save it. On the other hand, this gives Clarice an idea for her school project on the environment, but will it cause her to be late for one measly day for school? Read the book to find out...
Clarice Bean is the bestMarch 22, 2005 4 out of 11 found this review helpful
This book is quite good because it tells you all about Clarice Bean and it is quite interesting as it tells you about the environment and nature. It has really good pictures.
we love ClariceMay 17, 2003 12 out of 17 found this review helpful
A perfect introduction to the wider world of older children for my 5 year old daughter. A great cast of a range of characters and an easy way into thinking about our effects on the world. We laugh at Grandad's sandwich every time, even before we turn the page! My favourite bedtime book (I think she likes it too!).
Wacky, zany, perfect for adults!!February 19, 2002 4 out of 19 found this review helpful
This is a completely off the wall book, with brilliantly trendy pictures - adults, art students and graphic designers will love it......not sure about the kiddies though!
Beautiful, individual, funny, perfectJanuary 2, 2002 16 out of 20 found this review helpful
This is a beautiful book. The artwork is wonderful, exuberant and childish. The witty text has got a child's world down to a tee. This is an extremely brilliant book and you will be very glad you bought it!
