5 out of 5 stars tobin learns to make friends   November 13, 2007

As a mum with a child with learning difficulties, this book is invaluable. The fact that the story comes from a train, reached my child and he was able to see visually tobins reactions. This book has helped a lot and his school bought it to help with other children. The stories are simple yet wonderfully crafted. There is no doubt that the changes in my child of recent (fingers crossed) are as a result of Tobin.

My son has Aspergers and he loves this book. It helps him to understand how he should behave with friends so that they will want to play with him.

5 out of 5 stars A great gift for young children   December 14, 2004

I bought this for my 6 year old nieces and they absolutely loved it. I was forced to read it to them every time I visited for the next year!
The story of a train engine learning how to make friends is straight foward and engaging. My neices particularly liked the colourful illustrations and were inspired to try to copy them.
I have since bought copies for my friends children and all of them have enjoyed it - boys and girls alike.
I haven't been able to find any other Tobin books but I'd like to buy some if they exist.
