How to draw horsesJanuary 6, 2009 My 9 year old daughter has a young pony but always wants to draw and colour picture of it to adorn her bedroom wall. This was just the book, so useful and easy to use for the younger person.

Hi,
I'm only about 16 - 6 years old and I can draw horse very well for my age. This book a good although i havn't got it, it looks pretty cool. i find that the legs are probably the hardest part, I'd say the head is easy! I paint horses in watercolours and I'm going into the glasgow school of art when I'm older. Maybe I'll take that book with me, it is sooo good. RAY RULES @ MY STABLES
Draw a horse!February 19, 2006 30 out of 31 found this review helpful
This is a good book for people (like me) who love horses and really want to be able to draw things that slightly resemble them. If you can already draw horses pretty well, then his would be good for you too as it has more difficult horses in it, aswell as easy ones. It takes you through the steps of drawing a horse using shapes so that you get proportion right. Then it shows you how to connect the shapes using curved and straight lines, and also there are some ideas on how to colour your horses. You can also do what I sometimes do and trace the horses, wich is almost as effective, and you still get to colour them! Over all this is a really good book that I would highly recomend to anyone!
A wonderful book for children and adults who love horsesMarch 7, 2002 96 out of 96 found this review helpful
'How To Draw Horses' by Lucy Smith is one of the best books I have ever bought for my child. Lucy Smith has covered everything: how to begin the process of drawing a horse, how to add colour to the picture, even how to capture the sensation of movement. This book is versatile, showing how to draw everything from a riding pony to an amusing cartoon horse. The illustrations are simple, yet exciting, and gives my nine year old the satisfaction of producing a highy credible piece of work. 'How To Draw Horses' is both educationally stimulating and fun.
