unsuitable for the under 14sNovember 11, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book was recomended to my 11yr old daughter by her school. While one 12yr old character is fighting off an attempted rape which ends in the stabbing of the villan inbetween the legs, her brother is trying to get his 14yr old girlfriend to sleep with him. I always thought that reading helped the imagination lets hope this doesn't happen in this case. PARENTS BEWARE!
cherub......the fall......July 14, 2008 WHAT A BOOK this is by far the best of the cherub series they are all good but this is just great the story is so adictive i read this in under an hour (i quick read) still got the story but read it mega quick, the thing i like best about Muchamore is he is very realistic e.g. in the alex rider series i carnt remember him once going for a piss SERIOUSLY where as james at least goes through everyday life and doesnt get sent into space as a 14 year old ( that bit of alex rider took the P*ss) hence why i think this is by far the best cherub yet gripping and full of even more suspense because when you think james problems are going there only just beginning
A FANTASIC READDecember 22, 2007 I amsolotly love all the books in the cherub series and this is no exeption. I would recommend this book to people above the age of 12 as some sections may be unsuitabal for people below this age. Well worth the asking price and well worth a read. suited to adults and children alike. overall a fantastic book thats well worth reading.
Best CHERUB Book Yet!December 17, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
How could anyone not like this fast paced thriller? In this book James's mission in Russia goes terribly wrong. James will have to use all his skills to get out of Russia alive. Meanwhile Lauren is on her first solo mission. Once James arrives back on campus it turns out that this nightmare is just beginning. I can't say anymore without revealing the plot but I can say this... will James ever go out on a mission again? Will Lauren survive her first solo mission? Read it and find out! If you don't read it you must have a very good reason not to!

A beautifully written novel in my perspective as it tackles and developes many of the teenage themes which were established in the first few books of the series. The novel itself is amazingly written using quite simple yet vivid language that can be easy to relate to with very interesting conversations between the protagonists and his many friends. The plot and the ideas are what I consider to be excellent; very evocative and intriquate yet easily understanderble. I found this book gripping to the very end and I could not put it down until the end. However I do not think this book is suitable to a too early age. I'm 13 years old and I found this book quite an easy and enjoyable read however some of the themes tackled may not be suitable for a younger audience.
