Best of the series and better than Alex RiderDecember 22, 2008 This book is by far the best of the cherub series. I love the action chapters and pretty much every chapter in the book. There is no dull moment. One thing Muchamore does so well is that he keeps all the heart pumping edge of your seat chapters, just like Alex Rider. But they are realistic. I am a huge Alex Rider fan and Anthony Horowitz fan. Two of my favorite series' is Alex Rider and The Gatekeepers. But Alex Rider gets a little crazy, like a knife fight in space. Cherub keeps it very believable and has the same amount of action as Rider. Also he keeps the books fresh. One of two problems I have with Alex Rider is it's always busting someone whos going to kill a ton of people with a bomb or clones or a hotel or something but cherub keeps it fresh. One time it's a eco-terrorist group, then a drug dealer, then a illegal wepons dealer, then a murderer, then a colt, then a animal rights group, and gangs, and terrorists blowing up planes. Muchamore keep 'em coming
BRILLIANT!February 18, 2008 this book is great...actually all the books are amazing! u dont need to have to read the books before this ( recruit and class A) but it helps to get back ground knowledge!
u have to buy all these books as they are thrilling and much better than alex rider! and they are also very cheap from amazon! so get buying!!

i am a MASSIVE fan of the CHERUB books. i think mad dogs is the best book so far. there is loads of action and you notice how James has matured through the series. The CHERUB series is about teenage spies who go on undercover missions. It all sounds really sad and but it's not.I think this book is mainly aimed at age 12 - 17 but it is very grippng and i would strongly recomend it.But this book is DEFINATELY not suitable for anyone under the age of 10.
Another great book to add to the serisJanuary 4, 2008 Mad Dogs is another great book produced by Muchamore. You see a different side to everyone and some new situations for James. Lauren has sort of been in a similar situation with James, so she understands what might happen.
A thrill-seeking edition it's a must have!!!
If you like Alex Rider you will like this even more! Believe me
A GREAT BOOKDecember 22, 2007 I amsolotly love all the books in the cherub series and this is no exeption. I would recommend this book to people above the age of 12 as some sections may be unsuitabal for people below this age. Well worth the asking price and well worth a read. suited to adults and children alike. overall a fantastic book thats well worth reading.
