Good for those on a Saga holidayMarch 31, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Sorry, but this book has very obviously been written by a middle aged, middle class woman who has a bit of a 19th century view on the world. If I wanted to read Poetry I would buy an anthology of poetry. Not very helpful in the slightest, and is destined for the Charity shop in the very near future rather any trip to Montenegro.
Brilliantly researched guide to MontenegroJune 8, 2003 14 out of 16 found this review helpful
Annalisa Rellie clearly loves her subject, and she has done it justice. Montenegro is a fascinating place, and this guide is the only one which is up to date and explains the best places to go, the culture, and the history and background. She writes with wit and understanding. Go to Montneegro soon, while it's still a secret (and much more exciting the the over-hyped Croatia) but don't go without the Bradt Guide to Montenegro.
At last - Montenegro explained!May 10, 2003 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
At last a wonderful book which will enhance any visit to this extraordinary country. It is full of useful information and descriptive narratives that provide previously inaccessible context for any exploration of this overlooked Mediterranean land.
excellent summary of a hidden countryMay 4, 2003 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
Rellie combines a senstive eye with accurate detail. This book is informative and fun to read. Buy the book and go there fast, before everyone else does.
Insightfully, humourously and senstively writtenApril 25, 2003 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
annalisa rellie has written a clever guidebook to this emerging country. It may not be enough to persuade every tourist to visit the country, but for those who do embark on the trek, it will make the effort much more worthwhile.
