If people want to support a 'writer' who takes and sells the works of others without their permission, this is the book to buy. Personally, I find it a very good reason not to buy.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic and well written guide   September 11, 2008

I picked up this book, inspired by the quality of the author's other works, and boy I was not disappointed. The book is an exhaustive and in-depth look at Series Two of Torchwood and no area is left uncovered. From the background to the series to individual analysis of the episodes via all the documentaries, ratings and other ephemera, the book was enthralling and fascinating. Moreover it made me want to go and watch all the episodes again! The original research and thought that have gone into it is incredible.

Top marks!

1 out of 5 stars Dull, duller, dullest   September 8, 2008

I was really disappointed in this book. The author may well have original information and insights in here, but I found his writing style to be so boring that I found it hard to finish a paragraph let alone a chapter. I see that he has also written similar books for the Doctor Who fandom - they may appreciate his style, I however, do not. You know that you're dealing with a bad writer when the most interesting and entertaining parts are quotations from blogs and other reviews.

Suitable for insomniacs. Everyone else - don't buy this - just read the blogs and review websites - they're more entertaining and free!
